The farming business is William de Bruin’s main income. He started farming in 1996. All his energy, planning and management go into the farming. He believes it is important to apply herd management. The farm is close to town so he must be precise and accurate about the management.
Willem believes farming gives you value for your money. He spends his time on investment, infrastructure and fencing projects. As a farmer you need to put something in, in order to get something back. And you have to stay humble. Farming is a business, and it also has his factors of failure and success. It's a business, and a business always needs guidance and mentoring.
He is the chairperson of the Emerging Farmers. He has also done a course in personality types. His efforts and good management was rewarded with a first prize in the slaughter lamb competition.
