Jan Potgieter farms for 24 years with the Dorper sheep. He also owns Bonsmara cattle and wildlife. He usually gets hunters who camp in the field; they walk around the farm and then seek game. A rare animal can be found on Oorlogshoek, this is the mountain sheep and hunters travel from afar for this trophy.
Jan belongs to Organized Agriculture Northern Cape, Agri SA and believes that all farmers should join. He is also chairman of the Farmers Association and Director of Carnarvon Karoo Meat Farmers (KVB)
