Stofkraal is approximately 6,200ha. The farm was previously owned by oom Hannes Reitz and he was a very successful dorper farmer. Hannes once sold a stud ram for an all time record and the same bloodline is still on the farm today. Stofkraal consists of a good balance of "leegte" and "randte"veld which enables good rotation of sheep. In the rainy season we like to keep them out of the wet leegtes away from mosquitoes and other disease carrying insects and to keep them on the higher and drier randjies. In the dry periods the leegtes again provide sustainable grazing. Stofkraal was purchased by Abe Louw in 2005. Jan de Bruyn and his son (klein) Jan Dikkop have lived on this farm for many years and take care of things on a day-to-day basis.
